Surrey, England is a home county in the South East of England. There are many cities, towns and villages that reside within Surrey. Most of these cities and towns are larger and resemble the kind of living styles you would see in London. Some are smaller scaled and resemble the small suburbs like Littleton, Colorado. This blog is about the differences in weather conditions that a small village in Surrey, England such as Charlwood would have compared to a suburban area such as Littleton, Colorado.  I would one day love to move to England with my wife and live in an area much like Littleton. I want the landscape to be beautiful like it is in Littleton as well as colder weather conditions like we see in Colorado.
Charlwood, Surrey is not bordered by a large mountain range like Littleton, Colorado is. Charlwood has more farm land and hills rather then mountains. Charlwood is also located closer to the coast than Littleton is which means they will have somewhat different weather conditions in the long run.

Now Charlwood has fairly cold weather year round. Even in Littleton Colorado the temperatures tend to get a little high during the summer months which I could do without. The graph below shows the average temperatures for each month in Charlwood, Surrey.

Littleton might have a few months of warmer weather than I like but the nice cold winter months make up for that. Littleton receives a fair share of snow fall every winter which is my favorite part and something that Charlwood will not have as much of. The graph below shows the average temperatures for each month in Littleton, Colorado.

Charlwood also sees a substantial amount of rainfall days compared to Littleton Colorado. Which means that by moving to Charlwood one would be losing the 300 days of blue skies and gaining more gloomy overcast days. below is a graph representing the amount of precipitation gained on average each month for Charlwood as well as the average rainfall days.

Littleton has slightly less rainfall days and less overall precipitation then Charlwood which does allow mostly clear blue skies year round. But with less overall precipitation Littleton has to deal with severe droughts for many months that Charlwood does not have to deal with. The graph below shows the amount of precipitation gained on average for Littleton as well as the average rainfall days.

Charlwood would most likely have a low Bowen Ratio around 0.60 because of the increase in precipitation for its region. I believe that Charlwood would be somewhere between Maritime and Continental.
